Dan Merrell grew up loving stories.
As a child, he remembers the first book he had read to him (the Bible), the first movie he saw (How the West Was Won),
the first television show he was hooked on (The Flintstones) and the music his dad exposed him to (Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley).
His mother tells him he used to pray often for Marshall Dillon's success, Batman & Robin's survival and Richard Kimble's search for the "one armed man."
His hero's trials and triumphs were just as real to him as the war going on right outside his window. Dan's parents were Southern Baptist missionaries
and the family was stationed in Dalat, Danang and Saigon during the Vietnam War from 1964-1974. God knows, he has his own stories to tell about that time.
Nearly four decades later, Dan is still obsessed with stories. His job as an entertainment marketing consultant centers around stories of all kinds, from books to movies.
Dan established PROPELLER in 2004 after two decades in the entertainment business marketing over $1billion worth of packaged goods to moms of preschool kids (don't ask).
